Stop guessing. Build a method
Fault Finding
Most techs struggle with fault-finding because they never learned a method — they learned to swap parts. Cold Fast teaches a repeatable diagnostic process built from real field work, so you find the actual fault, not the symptom.
A diagnostic method
- Gather info: what's it doing, when, since when.
- Read the system before you change anything.
- Form a theory, then test it — one thing at a time.
- Confirm the fix, don't just hope it holds.
Common faults and their signatures
- Low charge, restriction, bad TXV, compressor faults.
- Condenser and evaporator faults and what they look like.
- Defrost failures and ice build-up.
Electrical fault finding
- Controls, safeties, contactors and relays.
- Reading a circuit to find the open, not just the dead component.
Real-world scenarios
- Walk-throughs of actual jobs, start to finish.
- What the callout looked like, what it actually was, how it was found.
What you'll get
- A structured method you can use on any callout
- Fewer comebacks and fewer wrong parts swapped
- Confidence on the hard ones
