Training
The cycle, the pressures, the temperatures — properly
Refrigeration Fundamentals
If you don't actually understand the refrigeration cycle, pressure/temperature relationships, superheat and subcooling, everything downstream is guesswork. We teach it properly, in plain language, tied to what you'll see on your gauges.
The refrigeration cycle
- Compressor, condenser, metering device, evaporator — what each actually does.
- What each part should read when the system is healthy.
- High side vs low side, and what moves where.
Pressure / temperature relationships
- PT charts and saturation — what they mean and why they matter.
- What high or low head pressure is telling you.
- What high or low suction pressure is telling you.
Superheat & subcooling
- What they are, how to measure them properly.
- What superheat tells you about the metering device and evaporator.
- What subcooling tells you about charge and the condenser.
Reading a system
- Putting it together: gauges, line temps, sight glass, compressor amps.
- Building a picture of what the system is doing before you touch it.
What you'll get
- Read your gauges and know what they mean
- Understand and measure superheat and subcooling
- Diagnose charge and metering issues properly
